The reason I’m mentioning friends is that is mainly a multiplayer game, and you need other players to help you, but the servers are not all that populated. If you and three of your closest friends are looking for a fantastic co-op game to pass the time, then you will be surprised to know that you can get Alien Swarm right now. Unlike that game, Alien Swarm has no microtransactions, and it’s simply a very well made multiplayer game with great co-op. It’s not difficult to imagine that Valve had the courage to make a really good game and make it available for free, but this happened before they decided to release Team Fortress 2 for free as well.
